Born January 31, Deborah was raised in Edmonton and in many
towns close by. She started learning about art in high school
and has continued on with her natural gift, sometimes making
art for her mother.
Deborah's religious beliefs are a recurrent theme in her artwork
and she would cite Jesus as a major inspiration. As a Catholic,
images reminiscent of stained glass doen in ink and mixed mediums
are one of her favourite sytles to work in.
Coming to the Nina Haggerty Centre has allowed Deborah to make
great art, interact with people and make some valuable friendships.
Art is not only a way to show thanks to her supportive mother,
it's also a new way to express herself.
