JUDY BILLARD
Judy was born on June 26, 1955 in Edmonton, Alberta. Judy likes to work with bright colours and make bright, joyful paintings. She remembers the first time she painted as an adult and how happy that made her. Judy has recently started working in clay and has created some very unique bowls and fountains. When the Nina Haggerty Centre opened, Judy was the first artist to work in the studio. She quit her other jobs to pursue the dream of being an artist against her family and caregivers' judgment. Today they are proud of her achievements and support her career choice fully. She loves being an artist and enjoys her special status in the home she shares with her sister and roommate.
