IAN DOTTIN
Ian Dottin has lived in Edmonton his whole life. Born in 1964, he went
to school at L.Y. Cairns and graduated in 1987. This is the same year
that he started to draw. His drawings have been made with pencils and
watercolor pencils. He does research on the internet for his subject
matter.
Ian has a passion for designs from the past; antique light bulbs,
appliances, furniture, cars and styles drawn from the mid-twentieth
century. He can conjure images of these items, in proper perspective,
from his imagination and memory. Ian feels that doing art increases
his "flexibility and confidence... it feels good when a work is
finished."
