YVETTE PREFONTAINE
Yvette was born in Prince George, B. C. She moved to Edmonton when she was three years old and has lived here ever since. Yvette has been doing art from an early age, was privately tutored as a child and took one year of art at Grant MacEwan College. Currently she is taking fine art classes at the University of Alberta Faculty of Extension.
Yvette feels that art comes naturally to her and finds it therapeutic. Yvette aspires to have a career in the arts, she currently volunteers at the Nina Haggerty Centre assisting children with autism to make art. As a part of the Human Rights Project, Yvette was very proud to give one of her prints to His Excellency John Ralston Saul.
Yvette also loves music and comic books and has a part time job that keeps her busy.
