Louis O'Coffey
Louis was born on December 27, 1937 in Fort McMurray, Alberta. He has been married to his wife Hazel for nearly 30 years. In addition to his art, he is an avid outdoorsman. Louis is a self-taught painter, but works regularly at the Nina Haggerty Centre to hone his skills. He typically works in tempera, watercolour or acrylic paint, creative vivid and colourful work that has been very popular with the public. His work has been exhibited in the Stollery Gallery and Profiles Public Art Gallery. He has also taken part in Syncrude's Next Festival of Emerging Artists and has art in the Alberta Foundation for the Arts Traveling Exhibition Program administered by the Art Gallery of Alberta. He is committed and proud of what he can do for himself and for others through art.
