TIM UNGER
Tim was born in Edmonton in 1970, moved to B.C. as a child, and then moved back to Alberta when he was 10.
Tim loves animals. He has a huge collection of stuffed animals which he uses as models for his paintings. He prefers oil pastels and drawing on paper, but recently has started working in acrylic paint. Tim's style is unique, his erratic, sinuous line - seemingly produced without lifting his brush or pastel from the surface - energetically describes his subjects with barely contained excitement.
Tim has been drawing since he was a child but since coming to the Nina Haggerty Centre he has really blossomed. Seeing his work framed and hanging in the gallery is very inspiring to him. He loves to show his work to his staff and his father.
